About Dolores

She has been serving as Piedmont's Weekday Preschool Director since 2003.  As a member of the church since 1995, Dolores has served in many roles of the Preschool and Children's Ministry.  Prior to serving at Piedmont, Dolores was involved with the Preschool and Children's Ministries at Kempsville Baptist in Virginia.  Dolores has a heart for children with over 30 years of experience working with children.  She has taught in Virginia and Georgia Public Schools and is involved in her local community school and sports organizations. 

Dolores is a graduate of Tidewater Community College (1981) with an AS in Education.  She continued her education at Old Dominion University in Virginia graduating with a BS in Elementary Education: dual certificate Nursery through 7th grade.  She is certified with the State of Georgia's 40-hour Preschool Director's Training, CPR/First Aid trained, and continues her education by attending National Children Conferences.

Dolores and her husband of 22 years Micky (Retired US Navy Lt. Commander) and have six children: Katie, David, Paul, Peter, Rebecca, and Deanna.

To travel the world and to be an education consultant

What would you do with a day off:
Relax with my family at the pool and then go out to dinner
