Welcome to The Women's League at Piedmont Church

What is The Women's League?
The Women's League is a discipleship group ministry for women. Each group is made up of 6 to 12 women that meet weekly for twelve weeks per season (Fall and Winter/Spring) for Bible Study, accountability, and fellowship. These groups are for women of all ages and stages of life. They are composed of both single and married women. They are interdenominational. In addition to studying together, each group participates in community acts of compassion.

Our Mission
Our mission is simply to encourage women to be in God's Word and prayer daily to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ

How Do I Join a Group?
New groups form twice a year - August and January - at a Kickoff.  The Kickoff is a special event to preview the available Bible studies for the upcoming season and for women in the community to connect with a study group. New participants are welcome to join existing groups any time during the study season.

The Women's League Curriculum

Each group facilitator selects an approved study that requires each participant to open the Word daily. This provides an opportunity to become disciplined in spending time daily with God to come to know Him, love Him and obey Him.

Leadership
The Women's League is part of a national organization and is managed by a Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator and Administrative Assistant. Each group is lead by a trained facilitator who is committed to the mission.  CONTACT US

The weekly application questions help you to identify the attitudes of the heart that need change in order for God's abundance to flow. Believing God (Beth Moore)
The bride of Christ is nearly paralyzed by unbelief. God is calling His bride to a fresh and lavish anointing of faith. In this study, we will focus on believing God as seen in Isaiah 43:10 and explore what it means not only "to believe in God" but "to believe Him." Through studying the lives of Abraham, Moses, and others as examples of persons who believed God, Beth encourages women to deepen their own trust in God and receive a fresh word from Him.

Gripped by the Greatness of God (James MacDonald)
When was the last time you were really and truly gripped by God's greatness? Most Christians recall heartfelt resolutions around a fire at bible camp as children, and perhaps a revival meeting or two. But what causes the fervor of those experiences to translate into a consistent life pattern? Pastor and author James MacDonald believes that the better we understand God, the better we understand ourselves, and the less likely we are to favor our own will over God's. He writes: ‘God is not safe and He will not be squeezed into some neat, respectable Sunday discussion. No. To Know God at all is to watch Him explode any box we put Him in with His terror, majesty and indescribable wonder.' Expounding upon Isaiah's encounters with God, MacDonald prods snoozing saints to rediscover the wonder of God's attributes. This study will spur new and seasoned believers alike to detest mediocrity in their spiritual walks.
The subsequent study is:
The Grace and Truth Paradox (Randy Alcorn)
Our world needs to see God's grace to realize a hope for salvation. If believers can express grace and truth in balance we can accurately show the world who Jesus is. Learn the real meanings of grace and truth through this study of God's Word.

James: Mercy Triumphs (Beth Moore)
James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New Testament book. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer.

Living with Unmet Desires: Exposing Jealousy (Shawn Lantz)
In a culture which tells us we must have more to be accepted, have you ever been a victim of jealousy's lie, either as it perpetrator or its casualty? Has living with unmet desires ever frustrated you? Perhaps you have puzzled over the underlying cause of anger, bitterness, or strife within your personal relationships, not recognizing jealousy's disguised face. In this study we will examine the downward spiral of an individual who had everything and threw it all away. Hope abounds as we encounter individuals within the story of Saul who found a way to live victoriously with their unmet desires by making Godly choices along the way.

Five Conversations You Must Have with your Daughter (Vicki Courtney)
Your daughter's growing up. The world has a lot to say to her, and she's starting to listen. It is tough to raise a girl in today's culture. Even if she doesn't quite know it, she needs you more than ever. It's time for you to press in, to tell her some things she might not know (or might have forgotten) about who she is in God's eyes. Learn how to take the culture's lies and begin to break them down and help your daughter replace those lies with God's amazing truth. This study equips moms to have the five conversations that will empower their daughters to stand firm in the midst of a culture that would rob them of their treasured status.

5 Conversation Topics:
• You are more than what people see on the outside.
• You shouldn't be in a hurry to grow up.
• Sex is great and worth the wait.
• It's okay to dream about marriage and motherhood.
• Girls gone wild are a dime a dozen.

Five Conversations You Must Have with your Son (Vicki Courtney)
A women's Bible study for moms who desire to help their sons build foundations of faith that will equip them throughout their lives. It will help you discover and implement principles for raising godly men. Millions of boys grow older, but very few become great, godly men. And with so many influences from culture, friends, and celebrities, how can you be sure which category your son will fall into? Prepare to talk to him about 5 tough conversation topics:

• Don't define manhood by the culture's wimpy standards. It's OK to be a man!
• What you don't learn to conquer may become your master.
• Not everyone's doing it! (And other truths about sex you won't hear in the locker room.)
• Boyhood is only for a season. P.S. It's time to grow up!
• Godly men are in short supply - dare to become one!
